Classes are 45 minutes for 4-8 year olds and one hour for 9 years and up. In that time, the students receive warmup exercises, technical training and time to dance. All students must come properly dressed for their class – no loose clothing, proper shoes, and hair tied back.
From September to December, all classes work on their technical training; Jazz, Tap and Ballet classes will complete dance exams. From January to June, all classes work on choreography for Showcase!
Joy of Dance (4-5 years) - 45 minutes
The Joy Of Dance is a programme for 4 and 5 year olds that was developed by the Royal Academy of Dance in London, England. It is a movement class, which provides the building blocks for all dance disciplines.
Requirements: Proper dance wear and ballet shoes. Most students wear pink, and ballet skirts!
Joy of Tap (4-5 years) - 45 minutes
The Joy Of Tap is a new class based on Al Gilbert's tap syllabus. The focus is basic tap steps and learning musicality while having fun. We also make a lot of noise!
Requirements: Proper dance wear and tap shoes.
Jazz (6+) - 45 minutes/1 hour
Our jazz classes follow the ADAPT syllabus.
Requirements: any form of dance wear (not loose), jazz shoes, half soles, or bare feet – no ballet slippers please.
Tap (6+) - 45 minutes/1 hour
Our tap syllabus comes from Hollywood, California and was developed by Al Gilbert, a leading authority on graded tap techniques.
Requirements: Proper dance wear and tap shoes.
Ballet (6+) - 45 minutes/1 hour
Our Cecchetti Syllabus is taught by Donna Climie, a graduate of the National Ballet Teacher Training programme.
Requirements: Leotard, tights, ballet shoes, and hair up..
Hip Hop (6+) - 45 minutes/1 hour
We have the best hiphop dancers in the area and they teach the latest Hip Hop technique. Our teachers have attended classes taught by choreographers such as Brian Friedman, Dave Scott, and Cris Judd.
Requirements: Proper dance wear and indoor running shoes.
Musical Comedy (7+) - 1 hour
This is a fun performance class involving singing, dancing, and character work. Participants in this class must be enrolled in a jazz dance class.

Acro Jazz (7+) - 1 hour
Students will build on their knowledge of the Jazz programme by incorporating choreography with flips and tricks. Nicole is a former gymnast and coach who loves teaching her students new tricks to show off!
Requirements: Proper dance wear and jazz shoes, or bare feet.
Irish (7+) - 1 hour
Students will learn all areas of traditional Irish dance, from solo dances like Reels, Slip Jigs, Treble Jigs and Hornpipes, to group dances called Ceilis, as well as the more modern forms like 'Riverdance' while encouraging everyone to be the best dancer, athlete and student they can be.
Requirements: Proper dance wear and jazz shoes, or bare feet.
Lyrical (11+) - 1 hour
Lyrical dance is a dance style that blends elements of ballet and jazz dance. Lyrical dance is generally a little more fluid than ballet and also somewhat faster. It requires enrolment in a ballet class.
Requirements: Tight fitted clothing, bare feet or jazz shoes.
Modern (11+) - 1 hour
These classes provide an opportunity for students to learn the modern dance techniques of Martha Graham, Doris Humphrey and Charles Weidman. Students will also have opportunities to explore creative movement through guided improvisation activities.
Requirements: Tight fitted clothing and bare feet.
Contemporary (14+) - 1 hour
Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements.
Requirements: Tight fitted clothing and half soles, or bare feet.
Jazz Funk (14+) - 1 hour
Jazz funk is fierce, is cute, is powerful, is sensual and is a diva-like dance style. It takes elements from Hip Hop and Jazz. This genre of dance gives you the chance to release sassiness and dance fiercely.
Requirements: Proper dance wear and jazz shoes, or bare feet.
Boys Dance (6+) - 1 hour
This is a fun and energetic class made just for boys! With an emphasis on strength and conditioning, the boys work on specific movements designed to build muscle, stamina, and flexibility. This not only benefits them in dance class while they learn new hip hop moves, but also helps in any other extracurriculars that they may participate in.
